Step-by-Step Rituals
Enter Ihram
Before crossing the Miqat, enter the state of Ihram. Recite the Talbiyah: Labbayk Allahumma labbayk.
Arrive in Mina
Proceed to Mina and stay overnight. Perform Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha prayers shortened.
Stand at Arafat
The Day of Arafah. Stand on the plain of Arafat from Dhuhr to sunset. Make abundant dua.
Stay at Muzdalifah
After sunset at Arafat, proceed to Muzdalifah. Collect pebbles for Rami. Pray Maghrib and Isha combined.
Day of Eid al-Adha
Rami al-Jamarat (stone the large pillar), animal sacrifice, shaving head, Tawaf al-Ifadah, Sa'i.
Days of Tashreeq
Stay in Mina, stone the three pillars each day after Dhuhr. You may leave after sunset on the 13th.
